The Process – Space Art Festival is an annual international festival for contemporary art, which takes place over two weeks during June in Balchik on the Black Sea cost of Bulgaria, During these two weeks artists have the opportunity to discover the cultural sights, exchange knowledge and artistic practice between each other and to present their artworks created during the festival. Over the last 25 years, an international team of artists and curators working in contemporary art collaborate with the municipalities of Balchik and Russe. Urban Substitution places art in the urban spaces of Aarhus. The project is activated by 5 young European artists. Through minor happenings, the project offers small unexpected experiences in the public space that give food for thought and cast new light on the existing environment. Tallinn Noir international workshop took place at 6–15 February 2017 at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Estonian Academy of Arts. During the workshop, 19 art students from the Nordic and Baltic countries made ‘one-scene-films’ set in Tallinn. The participants focused in intensive collaboration on various layers of everyday life in Tallinn. The young artists experimented with the February light and engaged critically with the spatial characteristics of the town.
